The Curly Girl Method--TiffNic Style

Hey y'all! I've been using the Curly Girl method successfully, and I wanted to share my current regimen with you. This is a natural hair care method that was first developed by Lorraine Massey. Basically, it involves caring for your hair by using conditioner to wash it, avoiding silicones, sulfates, and shampoos. More info on the Curly Girl Method can be found here: Curly Girl Method Tips

This has been a part of my healthy hair care regimen for almost two months now, and life with my hair is so much easier! Read below for how a typical wash day goes down at The TiffNic Basket.

Curly Girl Method Regimen

Wash Day:

Detangle using Kinky Curly Coily Me! see here detangling mixture in a spray bottle section by section. (Only takes 10 minutes tops) 

Apply mixture of hot oils and DC; let sit for at least 30 minutes (longer if you can--bring on the beanies and turbans!) 

Rinse out DC then cowash with Tresemme Naturals or Oyin Honey Hemp conditioner 

Apply a few handfuls of Tresemme Naturals and squeeze out excess (DO NOT RINSE OUT) 

Run fingers through hair and scrunch curls together to clump

Seal ends with oil mixture (your choice: I use castor, grapeseed, and jojoba)

Rake Aloe Vera gel or Eco Styler Olive Oil gel through curls

Let it air dry WITHOUT touching hair and go!
